ABOUT MIDWIFERY
Midwives are low-risk primary care providers who manage the prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care of pregnant people and newborns. Midwifery care has been shown to reduce unnecessary medical intervention while upholding healthy outcomes for parents and babies. We are funded through Alberta Health Services, meaning that our services are fully covered and accessible. Under midwifery care, you will be offered the same routine assessments and prenatal appointments that you would with any other healthcare provider. Read more…
